using the 3 point controls

could someone please enplane to me how to use the 3 point levers?
I understand the outside one raises and lowers the three point, but can't quite get the other lever-it seems to do nothing (IMO)
Also, the three point levers don't stay in the desired positions. if you have the hight set and you raise the attachment to the full up position, the lever will work itself down, and then the attachment will set itself down also. I looked for a adjustment in the levers to stiffen it up but can't find any. Suggestions?

I don't know your particular tractor, but GENERALLY if there are two levers for the 3pt one is for "position" and the other for "draft".
The "position" shouldn't drift, that sounds like a problem with your individual tractor, maybe a hydraulic leak of some sort.
Alternatively the lowering speed knob is almost all the way in and you are seeing the lag between moving the lever to lower and the lift arms actually moving.
There is little/no lag when raising.
Some tractors have wing nut "stops" that you can set to hold levers or help return them to a particular known good position, say for every row after having raised the implement for the turn-around.

The "draft" only comes into play when you have a ground engaging implement actually IN the ground and it is hitting hard spots.
In essence it is an automatic trip device and the control lever is a sensitivity adjustment.
Just sitting on the tractor with the engine running and pulling/pushing the draft lever will show no change in position of the lift arms.

Search the forum for "draft control" and/or read the fine manual (RTFM).

found the "interlock" part that prevents the draft from working until you flip it out of the way
dad will test it out today.
Still not sure of the leavers moving when using tractor...

i don't think he was kidding - the manual is VERY difficult to real. it is probably the worst document i have ever read. very poor korean to english translation...

I realise what he said... Dad and I went through it and came out confused... Then we found the "Stop" piece that blocks the movement into the tractor. so there is a understanding now, just appling it to use sometimes is confusing.
Does anyone elses 3 point height settle when using it without the stops? If I place mine to 50% and start to grade, it will vibrate down to the lowest setting. Looked for a friction point to tension it some, nothing.
Advise?

i have a R4344 and use a 6' box blade for various grading tasks.

i usually put the draft lever in the middle to "slower" position and have never noticed any movement in the lift lever or drop in position of the blade.

my tractor has a knob below the seat that also controls draft - it is much more sensitive than the lever. it is my understanding that the lever is for fine tuning and the knob is for broader adjustments. i set the knob to the fastest lift setting and rarely touch it unless the implement won't drop to its lowest position.

i had use of a JD 4300 for a while and it would do what you described - the implement would slowly settle to the lowest setting. the throttle lever would do the same thing.
