The RTV is the 900 worksite with ATV tires.
My thoughts, RTV with the diesel, Hydro, dump bed, quality build ect. makes me wonder why it is running about the same as the plastic machines in price.
These are just my opinions according to my desires and observations. Each to their own.
Kubota
Pros: Build quality, long lasting diesel engine, no belt drive, downhill braking, hydraulic dump bed.
Cons: Not very fast. (Read more work than play.)
Honda Big Red
Pros: Build quality, no belt drive, downhill braking, will do 40mph.
Cons: No long term reliability data. Some complaints of lack of power, possibly due to torque converter slippage?
Ranger 400 and 800
Pros: Price, speed, suspension. These machines look like they would be a lot of fun if I did not have problems.
Cons: Low quality plastic-seat pins shear off, floor boards crack at mounting screws. No long term reliability data on this model(400). Already one on another forum with the front diff cracked open(400). Belt problems, fuel injection problems, wiring problems ect. very easy to find on the Polaris forums (800). I do not like the 4 wheel drive system. When going down hill if you bounce on and off the throttle causing the thing to go from free wheeling to compression braking the rear wheels skid and start to come around. The front diff does not engage.
Rhino and Teryx
For me, I want a rear diff so I don't chew up my lawn. If it were strictly for trails, these would be in the running.
Mule 4010 diesel
My brother has one of these (a 3010), so I have some first hand info on this.
Pros: Well built, reliable, long lasting diesel.
Cons: Smallest tires and least suspension, Slow.
Mule 610 XC
Pros: Price build quality.
Cons: Although the tire size is bigger than the 610, the suspension is still limited. Air cooling fan not protected well. Slow.
Prowler
I just don't like to looks. It also feels cheap driving it.
JD Looks great on paper. Don't like the idea of buying a Chinese engine. Maybe this will be the first thing China exports that doesn't have antifreeze in it
