I got the EKO 9's (10mm studs) for the rear tires, and the EKO 8's (9mm studs) for the front tires.
The method you explained in your post for putting them on, is exactly the same instruction that the salesman gave me when I picked these up. I'm anxious to try them out (but not so anxious I'm rushing winter) and see how the install goes. I imagine the fronts are pretty simple with the ability to lift them off the ground using the FEL.
For all I know the Talons and these are made from the same factory!?!? I don't think the ice knows the difference anyways.
