Where do I begin.....
From WHAT?

9 days off work. (YEAH RIGHT!)

Day one. Clean up the garden. Put away tomato cages, ect. Mow grass

Day two. Spray pastures, bush hog.

Day three. Seed pastures.

Day four RESEED pastures after finding out seeder wasn't working right.

Day five. Service 3 tractors, 2 trucks, 2 cars, 1 trailer.

Day six. Spread 3 loads of gravel on driveway to shop. Cut up tree that fell on mailbox. Put up new mailbox. Put in new tree.

Day seven. Install new trailer brakes. Spend way too much time figuring out why brakes don't work. (Pinched wire) Clean out interior of truck. Make excuses why I can't clean out interior of wifes car. Clean out interior of wifes car.

Day eight. Hunt high and low for new gas regulator for grill. (Put it where I wouldn't loose it......Then promptly lost it) Help neighbor remove his truck from creek that jumped in front of him. (Jack Daniels induced, I believe)

Day nine. Stand in amazement, looking at calender, wondering what happened to FIRST EIGHT DAYS. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Discover leaf blower doesn't run right. Clean out carb on blower. hunt for keys to work truck. (Right where I left them eight days prior) Cry out loud when I realize I have to wait 3-1/2 months before NEXT wasted vacation.

MAN! Do those days ever fly by!

Your neighbor has no loyalty to Bourbon whiskey? Must have been a Tennessee creek that got him.

My neighbor only drinks whiskey that comes in bottles. Not too particular.

Not much of a drinker anymore, myself, but will partake in the taste-testing of anyones Crown Royal at no charge to the owner.

Well at least you did not go to Vegas lose all your money and have to spend the next six months paying for your vacation.

Are you joking??? Sounds like a great vacation to me.

Just imagine spending the week at the inlaws someplace without a tractor and nothing more exiting to do but listen to their stories and watch tv.

Unfortunately, I don't have to imagine that. It happens with all too frequent regularity. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

We "planned" to take a real vacation this year, been a few years. But first the pool has to be opened. Drained the water to clean it and then refill with clean water. Within 2 hours the liner split ($250). New liner in, ordered new water ($200). While waiting on the pool to fill, went in to get a cold adult beverage, cold beverage not cold and all of the ice bucket contents on the floor feeling wet under my feet. New fridge time ($1200). Wow, I need to nap. Go the the lower lever where the big screen is, lay down, 60 mins later big screen now only shows one color, yellow. Repair estimate ($1000 min).
Forget my vacation this year /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Mmmm, crown royal... my cheapness leads me to black velvet or even R&R but candian whiskey..... mmmmm.

That sounds like a fine vacation. Beats the heck out of dealing with driving for four or five of those days or even worse dealing with the airport.

A vacation with the max rest and relaxation comes at home where vacation starts as soon as I get home from work. Longer the better.

Keep your sour mash Jack Daniels. (hehehehe)
