Kioti CK2610 HST with FEL, Rotary Cutter, Box Blade and HLA Grapple
In another thread of mine ''First time tractor owner- soon'' I said that I was contemplating a CK 2510 HST. Someone suggested that I might get more value from a CK 2610 HST. I would like peoples opinion on this idea.

Here is the 2510 package I'm contemplating.
CK 2510 HST, KL 2510 Loader, KB 2465 Backhoe with valve kit, Subframe, Single Remote Hydraulic, 12'' Bucket, Industrial tires (beet juice filled), 48'' Grapple, 3rd function, 48'' Brush Mower, Quick Hitch.
Dealer price is $27,575 plus tax. Some say that's a bit high. Dealer is very good, gives great service, is close but is not the cheapest. FYI, I am in central PA

I like that the lift capacity and weight of the 2610 are larger. I do not like the larger size. I have some tight spots to fit through.

Do you think I could get a 2610 HST with all these extras for about the same price? For instance does the 2610 already have the remote hydraulics that would offset the higher price?

Other opinions and ideas?
Thanks

Based on this question and your other thread, you really need to go see the machines in person on dealer lot and play with them. Things like difference between regular and SE for example - you need to compare them side by side and determine if worth the upgrade. If you never operated with something like linked pedals for example, reading about it vs driving it doesn't give you a good gauge on its worth to you. No idea your experience level, but if you haven't ever hooked up a bush hog, you wouldn't appreciate the differences in the standard vs the SE 3pt hitch area. If you have, looking at the two parked side by side, you will easily see the differences and SE benefits.

CK2510 and CK2610 are different frame sizes. Not HUGE difference, but again, something you need to run both around a dealer's lot and see which you prefer.

Sounds like good advice. I'll have to get my hands on the two of them. I'm also going to check out another dealer 60 minutes away.

Thanks

I went from a 2510 to a 2610. Only reason I got rid of the 2510 was I wanted a quick attach bucket. The newer 2510's come with a quick attach bucket. It was a better value for me to trade than it was to convert my 2510 and add rear remotes. I do miss the small frame of the 2510. You can get that bugger in a lot of tight places. Pm me if you'd like. I'm in North central Pa.

I feel that the Kioti CK2610 with the optional KL40x0 loader is probably the best valued tractor out there right now.
I have used a Kubota BX22 with a 2 range hst and my Kioti CK35 with a 3 range Hst. I would not be able to put up with the 2 range hst. With the 2 range, low was to slow and high would bog the engine down at times. I have a hilly property.

Well that's along my line of thinking. I realize that a bigger tractor will be more bang for the buck (they usually are), but I have some tight spots. It's no good having a supper great machine if you can't get it into the work site. I don't really think it would be wise of me to go over 50 inches wide.

Both these threads have given me a lot of ideas to chew on. I think it's time to do some hands on shopping and test driving. That will be so much easier with the knowledge you people have shared. Thanks, again.

Which ever way you go get a pair of rear remotes. Never thought I would want them but now I use them all the time. One set for a grapple and the other for a hydro top link. The 2510 is a power house in a small package.:2cents:

when i was picking my kioti out, the lifting capacity of the 2610 is what sold me on mine. it is a lil beastie! but after a year and almost 100 hrs, it has done everything i have asked of it (even a few things i should have NEVER tried on a compact... (always remember flat ground and ballast weight. HAHAH).

why industrial tires and not ag tires? ag tires w/ 4x4 are awesome in the wet and muddy months.

remotes and 3rd functions are dealer installed options that you can add before delivery. but if you are looking into the backhoe, i would think rear remotes are a requirement that the dealer should have packaged with the KB 2465.

green vs. red vs. orange doesn't really help when trying to price match a kioti. to keep your local dealer honest, i suggest you call a few other kioti dealers around the country that are competing with the rural tractor markets. down here in murfreesboro, tn., there is a dealer with great pricing. they are selling CK2610MB with LK2610 under the MFR price of $16900.00. a quick google search would turn up a few names and numbers.

and as CMV said. go sit and drive in them. ask them for a dirt/ gravel pile to dig in. feel the locations of the remotes and bucket stick, the feel of the HST, and the H/M/L selector( when i test drove it, i was in high so i didn't find out that it digs into my left thigh when in med till i owned it).

happy hunting and good luck.

I bought the CK2610 in April. Spec-wise there were no real appreciable differences between the two models for my homeowner use. That said, as a "Larger American", the CK2610 was MUCH more comfortable for me personally. Also, now having owned the tractor for a few months, I find the 3-Range HST to be very valuable. I believe the CK2510 has a 2-range, and I'm not sure I'd like that as much (admittedly I haven't run the 2-Range at all).

I was REALLY set on a Kubota B2650/3350-sized tractor. You'll find the 2510 is noticeably smaller, and the 2610 is noticeably larger (Like an L2501 size). If the CK2510 was the same size as the "Big-B" series, and had a 3-range tranny, I'm 99.9% sure I would have gone that route. On a relatively small, wooded lot, I find my CK2610 a little big, but I'd rather be a little big than a little small... :)
