Value of 4344 HST with 32 hours?

Here is a link to the auction site, they usually post the results a few days after the auction: Martella Auction Company of Tipton, California

Martella Auctions has just been acquired by Ritchie Bros. Too bad they
don't publish a prices realized list.

The next auction is at the end of the World Ag Expo right next door in
Tulare. The price that that Montana went for is fantastic. The enonomy
has made buying at public auction worthwhile again. Since you attended,
were there other nice CUTs that went for such bargains?

If you are attending the auction in Feb, bring your cash!

I didn't know about the acquisition by Ritchie Bros, it will be interesting to see how it goes and if they make any big changes in the format. I have always liked their auctions, well managed and fair.

The were no other CUT's at that auction and little interest in the Montana. Most of the similar CUT's I have bid on or watched at the auction go for quite a bit more than this one went for and it was brand new. The others usually have hundreds of hours. The Montana was a smoking deal.

The next auction always has lots (100's of pieces) of equipment and bidders, prices seem a little higher than other auctions I have been to probably because of the number of bidders. I'll probably go just in case there s something I can't live without. :)

Story of my life;
A day late and a dollar short. If I had checked here sooner, I would have been all over that tractor. I own one with 115 hours on it and a backhoe attachment. They are really, REALLY tough little tractors. I work mine in heavy rocks as well as clay. It just keeps going and going. I would have bought this one as well, set it up with the fluids change and made a couple thousand on it as many of my "friends" borrow my tractor and wish they could have one of their own like it.

It's good to know they are nice machines. Now I really wish I'd have bid on it. I have been off work for the holidays and could have used it a bunch already......this one must have come from a dealer, maybe there will be more in future auctions.

Have a 3840 and paid in the area of 18K w Bucket.

Went to basic with a Hansen, 3743 BMTS, trying to remember where he was from Sept 80, retired in sept 2001. Hope your tractor works well, had a bad experience with My Montana. No return emails from Company recently.

Once you try HST you probably wouldn't consider a gear. For the mixed uses you have listed the HST is so fluid (no pun intended) when changing directions and speeds that it would run circles around a gear machine. The only time I would prefer a gear is for long draft loads (i.e. plowing). The whine is irritating (compared to a gear) but the efficiency is worth it.

Agree on all points! :thumbsup:
