How about some ideas what a 1996 B2400 with 550 hours on her, bi-speed turn with a Woods RM 550 finish mower , boom pole & a 3 point hitch fertilize spreader is worth?

The paint and all is good , I know for a fact it has only been used to mow and spread some fertilize.
This tractor is a four wheel drive ,hydro.
Thanks

Depending on condition of course, the tractor alone could bring anywhere from 8400-11,200 depending on gear vs hydrostatic transmission, what year, 2 WD vs 4 WD, etc.

Each implement could be about 50% (more or less) of a new one, depending on condition, damage, if he delivers it, etc.

So adding all that up, you'll get a general idea.

After you look at the numbers, you might say, "The heck with it!" and go buy a new tractor with 2 yr warranty and you can control the maintenance/care all the while planning on an excellent resale some years down the road. At least that's what Ive decided to do.

Im going with a new tractor, take excellent care of it and eventually offset the original cost with excellent resale value when I leave the countrylife....obtw, the interest costs are really low right now from Kubota - cant get that kinda interest on a used one, it seems.

Just my thoughts. Let us know what you decide.

Try this link and start your research....(I couldnt find a 1996 year tractor in there, so maybe a 1997 would get you close...)

Dwight,
I am not considering buying it myself.
It belongs tom My F-I-L.

He is 78 and just bought a zero turn mower and is considering selling it if the Zero turn works out.

I told him I would try to look into what a decent price would be, Come to think of it I do think he said it was a 1998 model.
Thanks!

In June of 2003 I purchased a 1998 B2400 with 852hrs. Base price for tractor and 60"MMM( 4wd,hydro,BST) was $9800. I also purchased a brand new LA352FEL which was approx. $3400. Total price with tax was just short of$14000 and has proven to be money well spent! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I bought my '97 B2400HSD w/60" MMM for $10,500 back in 1999. It had 120 hrs. on it. Since then, I've added a back blade ($200 used) and last year I finally added the LA352 FEL /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
