What would be your best guess at the resale of 4 ag tires and the wheels?

• My first quote - disinterested buyer =$350 ($50 ea fronts - $125 ea rears)
• Interested buyer = $1,000 ($125 ea fronts - $375 ea rears)
• OP after a winter of skidding around on the new R4s = $2,000

I would consider a swap. I have industrial and would like ag tires instead. Have a 3800 with 300 hrs. We may be to far away though to make it happen. Something to think about.

New turf tires and wheels from wholegoods (sales department) is just under $1,300 for the complete set. More tractors/equipment is great, but tires are a cheap alternative even if you can't sell the R1's.

R4's are about just under $2,100

L3200 and L3800 use the same size tires according to the info I have.

We decided to keep the R1s and either buy a ZTR or small tractor with turf tires.
Around here I can pick up a good Kubota B series for the price of a ZTR, and I already have a 72" finish mower.

I do many things with the tractor that really need to have good traction behind them. This past weekend, I had to cut a couple of large trees that were against/leaning over a shed. I used the tractor to 'coerce' the trees to fall away from the shed; it again occurred to me how nice it was to have some good traction under me.

I suggest you keep them, this clause is key "thinking of making the switch"
To me that indicates that you kinda/sorta have a use for the Ags and might want to go back to them at some point.

BTW, I paid $500 for a set of NEW rims and turf tires (44/18x20 rear 29/12.50x15 front) about a dozen years ago.
Background; American Jawa was dropping the Kukje tractor line, which they had re-branded as Century, I was able to pick these up on a trip through Harrisburg PA.
Kukje continues in the USA as Branson, still a good tractor and I still have my Century C42.
With turfs it is a nice field mower, with loaded industrials it is a nice general purpose tractor and (sometimes) back hoe.
