As for the value I'd say $10-12K range, but that's just a guess.
That being said, I'd strongly consider swallowing your pride and giving the Kubota a try. I grew up farming with Deere equipment (40-50-55 series tractors) and our family farm still runs quite a bit of JD stuff. I really like the older Deere equipment, and as far as I'm concerned the 50-55 series from the compacts up through the biggest row crop tractors were some of Deere's finest tractors ever made. What Deere is making today is not like the stuff you and I remember. It has been cheapened up to cut costs and they have had quite a few quality control issues (I shouldn't single Deere out though, lots of mfg's are in the same boat now). The older B-series Kubota is probably a better quality unit then the current Deere offerings. Give it a try, you might like it.
