I am not strong so it is very doubtful that I could ever over tighten anything. I turned it about 1/2 of one full turn with almost no effort. Immediately some squeeks i had heard were gone. I did not call Power-trac...just did it based on posts here.

If the squeaks have stopped, and you moved it that much. I'm sure it really needed it. I'm pretty strong, but I really doubt that you could over tighten this nut by hand. Maybe with a breaker bar or something.

Just make sure you grease it well when your done. Beechwood said he tightens his every 15 hours or so, sounds like the way to go to me. I make it a habit to go over holes and uneven terrain slowly, as not to bang the joint to much.
