I bought a new tractor, rather than a used one, partly because it came with a warranty. However, I'm beginning to wonder about the value of that warranty. My dealer has been very good to work with, but I question whether they really know what they're doing when it comes to working on the newer tractors. Have any of you had any problems with the dealer not making repairs correctly because they really don't know what they're doing?

You are asking about problems with dealer service, not warranty. the same warranty is available to all customers of a particular brand. The quality of service, whether covered under warranty or not, varies from dealership to dealership. If that service was not part of your recent buying decision, I bet it will be next time.

Danny. In Oz N/H send out a questionaire about dealer performance which thet ask the owner to fill out and return also your dealer should have a service/workshop manual on your tractor. N/H also hold schools on any new machinery so my dealer tells me,two of his mechanics have just returned from one of these schools. Have you discussed your doubts with the dealer?,if not maybe you should. If all else fails you should contact N/H directly and express your concerns perhaps. As an X mechanic I can appreciate your concern as a new tractor is a large outlay of $.Hope you can sort out your concerns.Kerry in Oz.
