Everything turned out very well Car Doc, it was fun to change it. The valves droped less then 1/4", after I pushed the springs with my fingers and remove the valve keys with small curved pick and magnet. (magnet is my best friend when working on the tractor lol) . I was not sure about the torque for the valve rack, so I stoped on 38 ft/lb maybe to much? After setting the valves on 0.006 it runs like the champ and 0 blue smoke !!!!

Good deal glad it worked out!

I dont know what the rocker stand torque is on a 1610 but 38 sounds ok, if it is low or high its not very much either way just guessing? fwtw my engine is 48 ft lbs but its a little bigger.

Rocker arm studs on a Ym220 (3t75ha) is 40ft lbs. You nearly hit it on the head.
