Buying Advice Vermeer TR-90 Rebel Tedder Rake

I'm looking at a Vermeer TR-90 Rebel Tedder Rake. This is the combo tedder rake unit for a small operation. Any input on this or similar equipment would be appreciated. Looks very clean.. about 3 to 4 years old. Stored in a barn. and ~$3500.

All that I can add is that I am a Vermeer fan as long as the equipment has been maintained. Parts are usually easy to come by. Not cheap sometimes but thats why you take care of the stuff in the first place.

I have never run vermeer equipment but I did have a fahr rake tedder combo. It did a fair to good job tedding and a poor job raking. I would not buy another combined unit, the 2 operations are different enough so I feel they need seperate pieces of equipment.

Over the years I gave tried combo units and they tended to do a mediocre job of both functions.
Case in point is the NH 245? or 255?.
My best luck was with any brand wide tedder (I had Kuhn) and a 256,258 or 260 NH rake.

That tedder is actually a rebadged Lely Combi 300, of the combo units, one of the best there is. It has hooked tines that ted well and it makes a good rake too.

Thanks... I ended up getting this unit and have used it in very dense hay and it worked pretty good. Put it on my JD 4710 and zipped around the field. Thanks for the input..

It's been a few years, now what do you think of your Vermeer TR-90 Rebel Tedder Rake. Was looking at maybe purchasing one.
