Could be, although the cab intake is located at the rear. In any case IMHO horizontal exhaust on 3 and 4 series tractors is just not a good idea and JD should have designed these with a fixed vertical pipe like the 5000 series. Running the pipe through the hood is a little awkward, although not really a big deal. It looks great though.

Yeah, but the problem is that hot air rises, and with the horizontal exhaust outlet the exhaust fumes aren't able to clear the cab before it's sucked into the air intake on the back of the cab, thus getting in the cab.

I agree, the horizontal exhaust on any of the 3 or 4 series tractors is extremely stupid.

The vertical exhaust on the JD CUTs, does not increase the exhaust smell in the cab. I can see why some suggest the possibiltity, but it is not an issue. Guess where most ag tractors have their exhaust? It is right at the A pillar of the cab and no exhaust smell in the cab and lots more exhaust comming out of the stack.

Of course it wouldn't, the vertical exhaust will vent it up and over the cab.
