Guy's, Thanks for taking the time to respond! It's amazing how everyone here has increased my understanding and value of well fitting and well made gloves. But, I now realize how valuable your sharing of real experience is. There is a lot to learn here. A class or two is just a place to start and there is no substitute for real experience in this craft. Back when I used a TIG finger, I just took a couple pieces of TIG wire bend to conform to my TIG glove finger and tack welded at the bottom. I then put some masking tape around it several layers thick. IT would smolder a bit but if it got too burned up, put another layer. No cost to me as all the materials were at hand
