I was finally able to use my new 1046 last night to cut grass. I love this thing!! IMO, it is so much better than the JD L111. The engine is super smooth and powerful. Perhaps the only downfall is that my right foot was covered with grass clippings while cutting with the mulch adapter. Other than that, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The grass on your foot is a small price to pay for a nice machine.... also, you can prove to the "old lady" that you've been working!
