Very nice JD 316 for sale in Houston area

I saw this in some local classifieds so I figured I'd pass it on since I know a lot of guys like the old JD mowers. It claims to have had a full restoration 2 years ago and by the picture... it looks like it. I don't know what they are worth... he's asking $1200.

That is an oldie but goodie. It is actually a 216. I looked at some that were in worse condition for around $850-1000.
If someone with some mechanical saavy wanted a good mower that parts are available for, this would be a good one. Just don't ever bust the hood cover. I think you can get one but they cost around $400. I've seen some around that have been mowing fine for years without the hood.
