Vibration in MX-5

First, let me say that I don't own a tractor or any implements- yet. Should be here next week though! So, read my post with that in mind. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

In addition to checking the rotating parts (blades, shaft, etc.) for straightness, I'd recommend that you check the lube areas. On some Ford trucks, people have experienced a vibration that was cured by lubing the slip-joint of the driveshaft. Perhaps something like that could be in play here. Especially since this is a new mower and they are shipped dry from the factory. Maybe the dealer just missed a lube point?

What about tilt? It just hit me that it might run roughly if the tilt is off...

When my LX-4 was nearly new, its blades got crossed. I had to get under there with a crossbar to get them apart. This caused a bunch of vibration, even at idle speed.
