Vibration shakes my 2 nuts loose

It happened! My tractor shakes so much (3 cyl Turbo) that two nuts almost fell off! I noticed my RPM at full throttle had dropped. One day, 2500 RPM with ease, next day, 2200 RPM? Was my fuel filter clogged? Thing ran fine. Smooth, no smoke, nothing wrong except RPMS were reduced with full throttle.

I started looking around and low and behold, 2 of the nuts came loose on the throttle cable! Here is a picture.

Just tightened my nuts and all are well.

You may want to add a second nut to each nut to lock them it place. Or use some blue loctite. Or maybe some nylocs. Keep 'em from coming loose.

A little silicone on the threads will keep the nuts where they belong and is also easy to take back off.

While rare medically, it does happen to about 1 in 150,000.

Oh, and there probably should be a lock nut on the throttle too.

Yes, it is rare. Oddly enough the imbalance of hormones causes the afflicted to have an overwelming urge to loan people money for their valuables, then forclose on the loan and sell the valuables at a profit. You may want to be very cautious with your valuables around your tractor after it gets it's 3rd nut...
