I have a 400 # capacity vicon spreader on order because I had heard that they are good quality implement. Anyone here have expewrience with one. I'm looking to spread up to 150# of seed or 200# fertilizer on food plots.

They are a good piece of equipment shought give you years of service. Just be careful if it's a wag tail type you don't hit the tube on anything as they can be spendy to repair.

I have two Vicons. One is about the size you ordered (I think 900 pounds) the other is a 1 ton model. Almost every grape farmer here has at least one Vicon because of how reliable they are.

I have owned Vicons for years and they are the best there is. Perfect and accurate for spreading fertilizer and pretty good on seeds.
It was too wet for using a Brillion seeder once so i used the Vicon and got excellent results.
You can also get a "side option" ( a few parts) or something similar in name that allows spreading only to the left or right when needed. I banded trees that way. Good seeder.
