Interesting but, I don't think my Ford Explorer is really water tight & I bet it raises hell with the interior.

So how do you keep the water out of the oils?
I know the army does this with the hummers but they were made for it.
I have in the past put a 4wd in too deep of water and it did drive out but the oil was milk.
If you get one let me know how it works

Snorkels are use here in Australian to enable cleaner air intake due to dusty outback roads as well as water crossing.
I understand that in the north of our country(top End as it's called) where it is very tropical, and not a great deal of sealed roads, many creek crossings are endured as a consequence, so they go to great length to prepare 4WD's for this. One of the things they do is extend the diff breather, You never go through water without either removing the fan belt or tying it so it doesn't spin
