Vivitar 3555T digital camera for $70

JM III,
I will take some as soon as this crappy weather clears up a bit. It's so gray and gloomy with scattered showers today. Nothing would look good taken in this weather.

JM III,
here are a few I took tonight. The first one at 1600x1208. But I have a question. If I resample them to fit under the limit here, won't they all appear the same?

Hi Jerry,

Well hands down, 1600x1200 is the winner…it just looks “sharper”, more detail…

But then again, as I bounce back and forth between them all… now the 640x480 looks pretty good /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If my wife sees me look at these pictures anymore… I think she may have me committed… /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What do I know…? I’m just a camera neophyte… I like them all… /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The D-380 has been a very nice camera for me, especially for the price

An update on the D-380 camera that I bought for $99. I took it back and instead spent $300 on a Canon Powershot A70.

I don't think the production is consistent with the D-380s, as these that Inspector put up are better than what I was getting, and my daughter's D-370 (a 1.3 MP camera) was also better. I could not seem to get the sharpness I wanted, and the straw that broke the camera's back was a picture of a rent house I just bought. I needed the pic for an info sheet and website, but the clarity left much to be desired.

It has a fixed focus and seems to focus fine from about 2 feet to 8 feet. Anything past that, especially infinity is very soft, not any detail at all.

After much review, the A70 (a 3.2 MP) seemed to have the best quality in the price range.

It is much better than the D380 I had, although I'm still not seeing quite the quality or sharpness I was looking at on some of those reviews websites. Haven't tried it outdoors yet.
