Volt Meter, Clock, Filter Monitor install

.........I have a question, since it has a reset, if your filter starts clogging a little, say 1/4 of the way, when you start working the next day will the filter minder show more clogging or do you have to reset it from the first 1/4 reading?

It does not have to be reset, if you want to, you can reset it, but it will just go right back to reading 1/4 restricted as soon as the engine is started. Otherwise the reading will hold at 1/4 restricted, the indicator will progressively climb and lock into place as the filter becomes more and more clogged. When it reaches maximum, time to change or clean the filter, at that point you reset it to start the cycle over again.

......Oh, and I noticed the quartz clock had no second hand? LOL ... what's up with that?

No Second hand - yea thanks for noticing, I could not find one that has it If anyone knows where to find a 2" panel mount clock with a second hand let me know.

Very nicely done with a nice clean layout ! Funny you should post something about air filters, I was just thinkin I havent checked mine in awhile ! That guage would certainly take some of the guess work out of that little bit of maintainance !

Although Im like Rob, what no second hand !

Thanks for the kind comments, but geeze all this heat over not having a second hand, what a tough crowd. No one complained about the volt meter not being able to indicate millivolts

OK I went back and took another look at the clock, I decided it does in fact have a "second" hand - see for yourself->




It never occurred to me not knowing what time it was to the exact second while on a tractor was that important, apparently I was wrong. Maybe I should look for an Atomic Clock with calender and phase of moon accurate to one billionth of a second , sheesh.

Oh just great, Although I do admit, I did search eBay for an aircraft horizon indicator complete with gyro - now that would be the perfect tilt meter!

Only you could whip out one of those from your bag of tricks. Is there nothing you don't have? Thanks for the generous offer, I'm afraid I would not know how to use that, so you better keep it for a tractor project you have not yet conceived.

BTW Rob I see your desk is off level by a huge amount, better take care of that right away. I have some spare books of matches I could send you, place one of them under the leg. I got them at the Holiday inn so it wont set be back (much).

I like the idea of the artificial horizon. Make sure you get a stall warning indicator too so when climbing steep hills you'll get that melodious noise indicating imminent danger is present.
