Just got out of the pool in the back yard water is 80 degrees, do I feel guilty while the rest freeze?
I will be swimming every day until I drop 5 lbs, and driving tractors.

Wouldn't it be quicker to just eat less? ;);)

I'm on a job where I'm the only person in the house, and I'll be there another 4 weeks, so I'll have very little contact with people. Kind of how I like it!!! So I don't really care about the virus anymore then I care about the flu or the common cold.

Spring started a few weeks ago and temps are getting into the 70's again with a few days that have already been in the 80's. I started spraying round up along my fence last week and got the lawn mower going yesterday. It sure looks nice after mowing!!!!! Today I'm going to see if I can get the small tractor running and start bush hogging my trails and fence lines. This time of the year, East Texas is very nice!!!!

Good news Eddie!!! That means Spring is crawling Northward. I'll probably mow the first time in about 3 weeks.

It’s different not being able to watch some type of sporting event. Didn’t realize how much I was into that.

I’ve got a pretty nasty cold so haven’t left the house in 5 days. Snowy and windy so not much interest to go out.

To pass the time. I’m updating all the woodwork on the second floor of our home. Which I started in November.

The sports reporters on the local news shows are having a tough time finding anything to report on. Yet somehow the weather reporters can go on and on for 6 minutes on a sunny day.

With no sports to watch...I will make two (TIC) predictions...with no sports to watch we will either see more spousal abuse reports...and or there will be a new baby boom starting in a year or so...?
A year? I think 8 months from now. Mostly by people that don't plan ahead. :(

Your lucky. It's raining every day here, my spraying just gets washed off!

I quit watching TV lately, to avoid the hysteria. I'm liking the iPad we got from volunteering to do some Yoga in a heart program. I get news, Facebook, Twitter, Google and even Tractorbynet on it. Response is a bit more quirky with the built in pop-up keypad. Can get my emails on both gmail and embarqmail on it. Just cannot access Outlook nor do Publisher stuff on it. Mine works off Wifi, but you can get cellular ones, too.

I heard of a new drink for those in isolation...it's called a 'Quarantini" It's just like a martini, only you drink it at home alone...

We will still be in mud season in three weeks. Yuck. Jon

Working in medical the handwashing and not touching your face is ingrained... I do think it explains why Docs often don't catch everything even though they are surrounded by it.

Being deathly allergic to Poison Oak... even from the dust of tractor work taught me to touch nothing to reduce exposure...

Strange how children that seem to touch everything and put things in their mouths seem to be largely unaffected.

This whole 60 and above thing has legs of it's own... the news interviewed a little Mom and pop shop in San Francisco... both husband and wife are 60 and were questioned why they had not closed due to their age... they said if they close the bills add up with nothing coming in to pay for it.

Analysis of compensation seem to favor salaried over hourly... those salaried must be paid their salaries if they do any work in the period... where as hourly are only paid for time on the job... with so many getting by paycheck to paycheck with no reserve.

Unfortunately, the above isn't always enough. Two Emergency Room Doctors Are in Critical Condition With Coronavirus

I found /pine's link to Mark Twain's experience to be interesting, especially that of the sacrifice's made by the friars he observed.

Wondering what people will be doing...especially the ones isolating themselves etc...
There is no sports to watch...

What will the Internet bring to the table...?

I suspect streaming service subscriptions will be going up...youtube and other sites will be seeing more traffic...

Maybe some free games etc?

Please send me home for 14 or more days! I have at least 60 days worth of chores I could do, easily 20 days worth where I wouldn't even need a hardware store run.

My retirement date is March 20, chosen before all this got going, not going to change... so we will be working on getting our medical coverage (have 5 plans to choose from, know which on we will likely get already).. need to find out about doctors locally and such.. working on getting prescriptions filled for next several months so we don't have to try and get a new doctor in the middle of this madness.. Trying not to think about 401K right now, it will recover.

We have our grand daughter every day until schools open back up, so we will be working on school work and such. She is very active so it wears on us, but with me done with work for now, there will be 2 of us to get it done.

I'll check on some older folks to see if they need anything.. but otherwise will stay home mostly.

Yep good time to load some more pistol ammo.

James,
Pistol ammo is never much a challenge as I have two Dillon 1050's. Easy to crank out two thousand in 3-4 hours without pushing hard at all.

What takes time for me is preparing military 7.62 and 5.56 cases for the rifles. Plus I am **** about rifle ammunition.

Just stopped to the gun store and picked me up some small rifle primers to load up some .223 also bought another box worth. Ammo is just like TP you want to have extra in case of emergencies.

I too am very particular with my rifle ammo. I like (try) to shoot clover leafs out to 300 yds. so the more precision I use preparing cases and rounds the more precise my shots are.

Agreed, rife ammo is a lot more trouble. I have the Dillon 550B. Loading shotgun is kind of relaxing on the MEC, but I haven't loaded any in a long time. I just don't have a place to shoot clays anymore. I live in the woods. When I lived near Willard, Mo. I had a great place to throw clays. Of course I ran thru a lot of shotshells in 3 gun too. But I don't shoot competitively any more.

No problem cutting down on food, but I only eat 1 meal a day at noon, maybe a little popcorn at night or a small yogurt.
Im not over weight at all, its just that I like being skinny.:D
