The mob then cut off both his ears, and was in the process of cutting off his nose when the bus stopped to drop his daughter off from school. They fled the scene but were later caught. He will be in the hospital for quite some time. Made me think twice.

Holy Mackerel!

One of the reason I am thankful to be moving to OR is that it is a "shall issue" state.

As much as I love this forum and the knowledge I've gained from it, I have to say you're asking these questions in the wrong place. I'd suggest you contact your insurance agent and attorney for advice on something like this. Laws on things like this (like most everything) can vary from state to state and even the best information available in one state may not apply in YOUR state. Lastly, when you get information from your insurance agent regarding your coverage, ask him to confirm it in a letter. If nothing else, that will ensure that he makes sure he's right passing on information from the carrier.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope this helps. :)
