They didn't take your job. They out bid you. They agreed to do it for less than you were willing to do it for. If you want to compete with that, you will have to work for less money or make a product that is better than theirs at a price that people are willing to pay for it. Each year more people in the world want to raise their standard of living from where they are. Billions of people just want to be able to afford food, so they are going to work for whatever they can. The neediest people are going to work the hardest for the least pay.
Sounds harsh when I re-read that. Not meant to be, but seems pretty obvious.
As I sit here in my warm home watching NY and BOS play baseball on TV while I type on a computer and think of eating some milk and cookies before I go to bed, I'm thankful for what I have, but wonder if any of it is necessary. I think I could feel just as content sitting in a shack in the woods as long as my kids were warm, healthy, well fed and educated. It's a pretty good bet that right now some guy in China is thinking of a way to keep his kids(or kid, I know about the one child policy, so don't go there) warm, healthy and well fed, too. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
