Thought I would post this in case someone else wants to build a dolly for their wood chipper. It was super easy and comes in really handy.

I basically built the dolly in the shape of an "I". It consists of two beams created by attaching 3, 2x4's on end that are 36" long (could go as little as 29" for these, I already had them at 36" so left them). The two beams are attached in the middle by 2, 2x4's, 31" long that are side by side and mounted to the middle of each beam. The entire length is 31". I then attached 4, 3" rubber caster wheels on each corner with 2" lag screws. I got rubber wheels to make it easier to roll on my not always clean garage floor and got wheels rated as high as I could find (~180 lbs apiece). One cool part of the dolly is that you can use it configured at a right angle to the skids on the chipper, or in line with the skids. I like this because for a quick drop I can just put it at a right angle and it's easy to line up, for longer term storage I can fully support the length of the skid by turning the dolly the other way.

In the pics below you'll see a loose board sitting on the middle of the dolly with a notch in the end. That's not part of the dolly, it's cut to length so I can use it to hold my 3 pt arms at the right width to attach the chipper so I can back up to it perfectly every time (though now with the dolly i can just wheel it into position).

Got a PM asking what year & model the chipper was for the measurements so thought I'd post them in case anyone else wanted to know. I don't recall the chipper year ('10 or '09) and it's the wallenstein BX42 with manual feed. For the height measurement it's mounted on a b2920 with the lower link arms connected to the lift arms using the outer hole (due to interference with the BH subframe). The height is just above the minimum needed to fully lower and detach the implement.
