What do I need to know? I have found one for $1000 I am going to buy it. What will I need to get it running? Any help would be great.

The loader should come complete with the mounting tube that goes on the frame of the
tractor. Also, a new unit would come with a new pressure relief valve to be put on the transmission,
but you may not get that buying used. It is required by JD to reduce transmission damage
from having the loader on the tractor.
If you get a book you will be all set

The pressure relief valve for the loader is not cheap. If you are buying the loader from the owner of the actual machine on which it was attached, you might offer to swap your pressure relief valve, your pressure relieve valve release lever and the 4 rear end mounting bolts (loader mounting brackets requires much longer bolts where it attaches to the frame at the rear end) for his. When I purchased my model 40, the seller recommended I bring those with me for an even swap....I'm glad he suggested it!
