How many of you bought a VCR for $1,000.00 when they first came out?? Today, they are disposable amongst many other things!!! Where did that money go??

OK...I might as well play along, since this is the most action the Kioti forum has had in a long time. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

When the VCR came out......in the mid to late 70's....I din't buy any. Why?? Because I was under 10 years old and knew that the DVD would come out later anyway...of which I could buy for a pittance, and dispose of it if i desired. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bota Guy . So now you're saying that the 8 tracks I have are worthless ?? Say it ain't so ! The price will surely be at a premium again some day . I've got several unopened 8 tracks of Bob Dylans Christmas album . It's only ever been done on 8track /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Mind you it doesn't have the clarity of a CD ' but with Dylan it doesn't matter that much /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

Ya just can't stop, can ya?

I know your type. My father-in-law was a used car salesman and now is general manager of a large dealership in Maine. He has no high school degree, but he could sell a brick to a mason for $1000 bucks. He's good. Your mentality is the same. GeraldC gave ya a ribbing on the Kubota forums so u thot it would be smart to attack us... lol, bad decision.

However, sometimes my father-in-law can't see the forest for the trees. The specs are there but you choose to ignore them, as a matter of fact I doubt you have even tested a CK20. I purchased a CK20 TLB after I test drove the both. First I tested the BX and was impressed but after just looking at the CK20TLB I knew I could toss the BX around like a rag doll. I can out pull, out dig and lift more then the kubota ladder framed tractor. Do a search on TBN for these comparisons and you'll see several... in the end we all agreed it was not fair, no disrespect to kubota. The BX fit a niche and so did the CK20 TLB.

As far as resale value, if it's a stock I'll flip it in heart beat, a tractor if taken care of will last longer then us. My Dad's JD still runs and he has passed on.

So, if you took offense to my calling your tractor "Bloated" Sorry.

About time you apoligized. But for some reason, other then tractors, I don't think you'll be able to walk away.

Have a nice day! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey DeWave ..... I also have two copies of James Brown Singing Nessen Dorma . Very rare indeed ! He's backed up by the 1910 Fruit Gum Company . It's hard to match the ambience of this sound track with anything else you've ever heard . Well, Okay sitting around a campfire drinking ripple and listening to scorched cats is Close . /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

( Gerard, Each and every time I buy a stock, bond or mutual fund I think about Resale. It never matters and my thinking is constantly proved wrong but by diddy, I think about it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Vegas is there to make money, not lose!

Buying stock is legal government gambling.

When I buy stocks, I am taking a gamble so it is done with
disposable money. With this frame of mind, I'm always a winner!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif G

I have to admit that I was one of the people that spent $1000 for a Panasonic video recorder when they first came available. I was also way past 10 years old and I am old enough to be your father. I don't know what crystal ball you had at your disposal then, because there was no news on the horizon about DVD's becoming available anywhere in the future. It was like the Dick Tracy comics where he had a 2 way radio on his wrist, but in reality at the time, no one ever believed it would happen. The problem with many of the people that have responded on this and the other thread is that they are still young and idealistic. They have never experienced that which others such as Bird, Cowboydoc, 5030, etc and I have experienced in life. When you mature, come back to the forum and look up this post and read it. It will become crystal clear to you all how immature you have acted in retrospect. I didn't ever think that I would ever suggest that a thread be closed, but I do believe that is the best that can happen to this thread at this point. There are no winners or looses in this debate, just a bunch of immature posters showing their bravado and foolery....
