hi cadblaster. I am not mechanical at all, so bear with me. I used both the seat and suspension, with the result that the seat does, in fact, sit a bit higher. but, what you gain in comfort from having the suspension is significant, at least from my point of view. you do have to modify the 2210 rails, but it is worth it. somebody who knows their stuff, mechanically, can tell you exactly how to do this. from an end user, no pun intended, point of view, this is a really good upgrade for the 2210. My total cost was about $200.
