I have looked at allpro trailers and another one on ebay. Do any of you own one of these and how do you like it? I am loving the tilt part for ease of loading and unloading. I welcome all of your opinions and make of trailer.
Thanks

I have owned 4 trailers with ramps and one with tilt. Hands down the safest and quickest to load is the tilt.

Paint quality is a bigger issue on trailers than I had ever imagined. Some of the cheaper trailers just spray paint over un-prepped steel and after a year or two of exposure to the elements they are covered with surface rust.

It seems that with trailers you get what you pay for. My tilt trailer is an H & H brand which is probabily middle of the road for quality.

I'll attach a picture of it in action.

I bought a 12' utility trailer from AllPro a couple of years ago, and it was pretty good, but I had a problem with the wiring, which they claimed was my truck's fault. It wasn't. It was the wiring harness being chafed in the holes through which they ran causing a short. Once I traced the short and repaired the wire, and placed anti chafing tape where the wires ran through the frame it worked fine. I used the trailer for 4 years hauling my 4 wheeler and various ag equipment to my hunting club, and didn't get any rust except in areas where the paint had chipped off.

I've not used one of the larger tilt type trailers about which you're speaking, but as far as AllPro's quality, I'd say it was fair to good. You might want to check out Crosley down in Starke. They no longer make their own, but are dealers for Anderson and the quality seems very good. I'm looking to get a 20'-24' gooseneck to transport my tractor (once I decide which one to buy) and Jeep, and they seem very competitive with AllPro.

I, as does Gene, also have an H&H tilt bed trailer. Mine is 20' x 8.5'. I bought in Sept.05 Its an 06 model. I like it a lot. I originally bought the Manual lift which uses an 8 ton hyd. jack to tilt the bed. I wore my arms out jacking it up since the piston only moves maybe a 1/8" at a time. I added a winch to mine and I converted it to an Electric/hydraulic lift that now goes up in 10-15 seconds with gravity down. If you want a tilt bed trailer I'd suggest ordering one with the elect./hyd. lift option. H&H trailers are also undercoated and have a 10 yr wood deck warranty.

I have the exact same trailer and love it....but the EX (electric version) is quite a bit pricier
