The planet has been warming up since the end of the last ice age. That is why the ice age ended.
Recently at the base of a glacier that was melting sea shells were found. That meant before the glacier formed the area was a sea and sea creatures lived there.

The more of the ice caps melt the faster the planet will warm up, the faster the planet warms up the faster the ice melts. Nothing we do will change that.
This planet has gone through several ice ages which means it has warmed up and cooled down several times before humans were here. At one time in history the surface was covered in ice. Now we are in another cycle. The sun monitoring satellites have recorded temperature rise in the sun since the 70's.
As the sun warms up so does the planet.

The video was about pre satellite conditions and pre satellite predictions.

Despite my innate intolerance to anyone with a British accent and Einstein hair the video was very informative in disproving the cyclic argument of global warming. Unfortunately, reason and discourse have gone the way of manners and education. At the end of the day I am not going to stop using CO2 engines so I suppose I'm the hypocrite.

From the replies it would seem few even viewed the video but so be it.

I'm sceptical. Especially when the other side of an argument/discussion resorts to derisive labels to support their hypothesis. I will maturely listen/read to anything proposed, then I will consider the source (and funding) of that data. Only then will I make up my mind.

Not quite what I had in mind but once you read and try to understand weather and the effects of the sun in regards to our weather then you will fully understand my statement. Not trying to be argumentative just trying to show that what we think we know may not always be the case. The sun and more in particular sunspots which are a driver in our temperature are going into a period of inactivity which is proven to lower our temperatures in fact in our worlds history last occurred in the 1700 hundreds I believe and caused snow in July in places unheard before. Kinda of odd no one is really talking about this the global warming advocates or the deniers.

Now this is what I can support regarding long-term effects affecting global climate shifts. Sun Spot Cycles (SSC) have been observed beginning in August of 1755 and last (during these 275 years of observation) between 9yrs and just over 13yrs.

I'm all for sensibly looking after the planet... after all, I happen to live in a paradise of clean air & water, but I also have to contend with a very high UV ray count. I'm glad that the CFCs in aerosols that were damaging the ozone layer were stopped. Of course, the planet has repaired itself back to more natural levels since.

One way to get reliable information is to listen/read people who work in whatever field is under discussion. Blogs, opinon pieces, and tnhe like are only feeding Kool Aid on whicheveer side.

In other words, the skeptics case agrees with the OP's video, but then explores what wasn't stated in the OP's video, which is the effect of feedbacks that drive the case for anthropomorphic caused climate change.

What has happened is science has proven and continues prove CO2 is NOT a factor in global climate change, and mans activities producing CO2 are not an issue, in anyway. My god it's not even the right science to study if you want to understand real reasons for global climate changes over millions of years. Global temps have remained unchanged for last 18 years, and the models ALL remain wrong, now we are in a coverup as the biggest hoax is slowly exposed to desperate believers, and Prius owners. Lol. HS

Sounds like you have a little ways to go correlating heat and ambient temperature and where the heat really does make changes.

Sounds like you have a little ways to go correlating heat and ambient temperature and where the heat really does make changes.

What's wrong with a Prius? Have you owned one? Do you know all the people who own one?

If I could afford one ownership would definetly be looked at despite lack of four wheel drive.

A diversion from the serious discussion happening here.

#1 - I saw a Prius the other day. It was stopped off the side of the road. It's driver was walking away from it with a gas can in hand. Think about that for a second if you have to. A hybrid vehicle out of gas and electricity at the same time and it apparently happens so often that the driver carries a gas can?!?! I would have given him a ride to the station but he probably would have gotten mad at all the laughing I was doing.

#2 - A while back I stopped at Walmart with charging stations for electric vehicles. I was surprised by the full-sized crew cab truck that had been lifted and fitted with large off-road tires taking up two of the otherwise empty spaces. I approached in wonder believing somebody had converted a big truck to electric power. As I stood there surveying the scene, two guys came up laughing loudly. They climbed in the truck and fired it up. My wonder of an electric powered truck was shattered by the deep rumble of a big V-8 engine with a low-restriction, performance exhaust. I just wish they hadn't burnt rubber leaving as I would have loved to have a picture of it.

Now back to the serious discussion.
