Warming up my Mahindra

Do you let your car "warm up" before driving it? I don't know anyone who would ask the question concerning their cars, so why would anyone ask regarding a tractor? With modern oils it makes no difference as to whether it's a car, truck, or tractor. Drive it.

When it's 10 degrees out my truck will go about 10 mph till it warms up some. In your operators manual there should be warm up times for certain temps. Those might not be practical some times. But when it's cold out( I mean around 32F or 0C) let it idle for 10-15 minutes and let everything warm up.

Good advice.. However, my Mahindra is a 2001-2002 "old" tractor. I don't have a modern tractor. I don't use modern oil. Gee, it might make a difference.

Just Kiddin around. But no matter what the equipment, I think running 'er easy till warm may help. Can't hurt.

Cheers.....Coffeeman
