Warning About Dealers And Their Pricing

So on the farms you visit, are you like the zoo guy, where when the animals see him walking down the sidewalk they all follow him because they know that he's the one with the food?
Heres me yesterday delivering feed hay to a customers horses. Note the anticipation of them in the barn….:)

Yeah he said the same thing to me yesterday. What's strange about it is my dealer down here already has some.
I have no idea how Kubota determines what dealers get what and when and I've never inquired. All I know is what Keith told me yesterday when I was there. I did wander out in the shop and it's full of units being prepped. They do sell a lot of units but mostly smaller ones. The bigger units have a much less sales volume. He's located just south of Suburban Detroit so the smaller units are very popular but they still have a base of farmers using big units too. Dennis had a nice IH diesel apart. Was doing a valve job on it and a piston replacement. Pistons didn't look bad other than some stuck rings.

Friday Keith is picking up my M9 and my wife's side by side. Side by side has a couple factory recalls on it (including the miserable fuel pedal) and The M9 needs the NH electronics pulled and the Kubota electronics installed a valve adjustment and some other stuff attended to.

Told me he sold my trade in baler already so he needs the electronics for it to complete the sale.

Not really. I have a 4 basket in the barn I rarely use. I have no need for a tedder with the Masterdrive Hay Dudette...

Of course running much hay for mushroom bedding, it really don't matter right?
Fitty thirty,
I make all my hay as if it were feed hay. Anything that doesnt pass my strict standards is sold off to mushroom growers.
It actually ensures that buyers know I wont sell them hay thats too moist or baled with too many weeds, like the little play farmers around me make for beer money or tax avoidance purposes.

I notice you removed your signature??? Why?

He is on the quarterly payment plan now. 🤪 Times are getting tough even for the rich Michigan hay farmers..

News flash: it's not yours either. Don't worry about the other guy's personal finances.
Lol agreed. On another note I agree with you on your new truck. I had to buy one too. Traded in a 2018 f350 srw and got what I paid for it 40k miles later. Was able to order and received a 2022 f450 with x plan pricing. Crazy how pricing is now with trucks

”No payment books…..all paid for…..”

Yeah, nothing made up there.
A great example of character.
Example of character...... Using someone's signature in a derogatory manner in their own signature. Isn't that a bit obsessive??

Par for the course. Never expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Never say 'never'.

I've recently 'financed' a couple of thousand dollars of stuff some people might consider toys. Paying 0 interest (as long as I pay them off before the 18 month deadline), got a few hundred dollars in bonuses and another couple of hundred in discounts on top of sale prices.

I'm paying less for the stuff than the next customer and getting a longer term to pay it off.

Like the song says, ya' gotta shop around.
Yes, say NEVER. You might occasionally save a bit, or get a perk, but you paid for that perk. There is no free lunch and the money you borrowed wasn't free. The dealer buries the charges in the cost. At some point there will be a time you won't be able to pay the loan... TOYS, and vehicles in particular should be cash.
