Warning About Dealers And Their Pricing

Yes Richard I have been at that Kubota dealership and they are decent to deal with. The best kubota dealership I have found in my neck of the woods with good sales, parts and service is Jackson Kubota. When they first opened they were called Carleton kubota same as 5030 dealer.Kubota made them change they're name and I have no idea why Kubota made them do that.
Maybe because my dealer had already registered that name with Kubota and most likely with the State of Michigan as well. They have operated under that name for at least 45 years, maybe longer.

You seem frustrated and angry by your own lies. :poop: Weird to say the least.Sorry you feel that way
And easily solved by changing signature lie that says ”all paid for”.

Keep in mind that this was 2020 and the fuel prices were much more favorable. I bought the tractor/loader/mower deck from Barlow in Somerset, KY. I'm in northern NY state, pretty much where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence.
The delivery charge was $595.00. The guy had a Ford F 150 Raptor with a bumper pull trailer on it. I was apparently the last of 3 deliveries of that load. He had 2 other tractors that he'd dropped off an hour or so from where I am. I think that Raptor must have been squatting pretty good with 3 tractors on, as it still had some squat when he arrived at my place with only that little BX 2380.
I never verified this but for some reason I think he was a Barlow employee. Maybe he contracted with them, I never did ask him. But he did give me a rundown on basic tractor functions after he unloaded it.
The last implement I sold I used the Tractor House 'approved' carrier as they had to get an overwidth permit to haul the square baler. That was as well before the current roll up in fuel prices and the distance wasn't all that great, like 350 book miles. They charged me just over 550 bucks permit included and I was good with it because the buyer paid for it, not me. I paid them up front and the buyer reimbursed me. I provided his a receipt too.

Hauled it on a Gooseneck with a 350 Ford in the front. Very typical hotshot setup and he had other not overwidth items on the trailer too. With me, loading was an issue. Took 2 forklifts and some fiddling to get it on the trailer correctly. Cannot pull it on, the wheels and spindles were over the edge of the trailer deck and loading it sideways was not an option either as the bale case made it even wider.

Seems like it's always something. Sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and pay someone with the equipment and/or expertise to do a job.
For the $595 that I paid I was not about to run from home to Kentucky and back paying for gas, a motel for a night and racking miles on my truck. I had an F 250 at the time and 2 capable trailers but I was pretty sure I couldn't do it for the price that I paid someone else. Besides that it was peak time of year for my seasonal business and I just couldn't take off for 2 or 3 days.

Harley Davidson has been selling at above MSRP 'Forever'. I'd never own a machine that has 'yesterday's technology with tomorrows prices'. They must have great marketing people because they are more then just surviving.

Yes, now I remember you talking about this before!!! I believe you can probably get a better deal at Jackson Kubota than I can. I believe Daryl can get a better deal at his preferred dealership than I can. I would never suggest I can contact your dealer by phone, introduce myself, and beat your deal. And I would never suggest you are wrong to say you can get your best deal there. Pretty simple.

I was at my local dealer a couple weeks ago to pick up a jug of SUDT2. In visiting with the Parts guy he said aren't you located near Young's Towing and Repair? I said yeah, actually my Son mechanics there. He said I'll sell you this at the Business Discount.

Harley is a brand, a lifestyle, an image and a motorcycle.
Few, if any other bikes have anything even close, even if their bikes are better and/or cheaper.

Having a website (or not) is not a sign of company quality. I've got a few local places I trust from past experience that do not have sites.

Granted, they're not major manufacturer dealerships.

But in this case ....

Honestly, I wasn't even aware they did but then I never looked. If I need something or have an issue I happen to have the lead service tech's cell phone number so I call him or the owner (have his private number as well).

I see he has my 450 Rollbelt NH listed as well as my Lucknow rear mount blower which incidentally is in my barn presently.

I know this is easier said than done but IMO, the trick is to establish a relationship with a dealer, preferably a family owned one that has been in business awhile. There, you are much more likely to be treated fairly, since "word of mouth" is golden around here.

I've been dealing with the same local Kubota dealer for over 40 years. I know them, their wives & kids, and they know me and mine. I've purchased 7 tractors from them over the years. They don't always give me the best price but they are always close. I routinely compare prices for goods & services and they have never cheated me.

Sure, I could have saved a few bucks by buying elsewhere or on line, but to me, dealing local is worth a bit of extra money. It pays off in the long run.
Purchasing 7 tractors over the years puts you in a totally different class of customers. Most new tractor sells to individuals is a one time sale. It's like hiring a contractor to build a home. He considers you as a one shot customer and wants to keep you happy so you give good reviews but trying to give you lowest price isn't his number one priority. Now if you sell it and have him build another and another home you eventually move to being a "Price Priority" customer.
Use to have an Uncle that would buy a new Farmall tractor on the averge of every five years. Every fourth or fifth year, in the fall of year when he sold tobacco, the Farmall dealership would contact him with the latest and prettiest red Farmall tractor they had. They would allow him a little more on his trade in because he kept his tractor looking new. Repeat business and profit was the incentive. My dad never did own a new tractor and I never seen any dealership try to sell daddy a new tractor.
