I've had too many trees fall or have large branches large enough to kill someone fall on my block, and at my house to be very wary of them, rain, or a bit of wind is enough to make them come down!. it's really not worth it to risk your life!.:shocked: a branch large enough to kill someone just came down in front of my property today about 30 minutes ago!..:shocked: luckily, there's no mail delivery today, and no one was out there when it happened!.. it's raining!..

Your concern is statistically insignificant! Most trees and branches fall without hurting anyone.

Be careful around stairs inside your home though. They are a real problem!

What can you do to avoid such an accident? An earthquake could occur while crossing the path to avoid the trees.

The tree versus human statistics will probably be quite a bit lower this year than in the past. With so many quarantined indoors and with deaths often being listed as caused by covid. With the postal service stoping overtime even the mail people will be safer.

Trees which are shedding large limbs tend to be either weak or overmatured. Ignoring that because "Statistically speaking it won't happen" is akin to playing in traffic because "It won't happen to me."
Removing danger trees from where people are prone to be is just good sense.
