No BX24 yet-made many phone calls and have spoken to several dealers who were recommended here-good prices but a trip. (Reardon and Messick)Now I am looking at trailers too to get the deal done.(I would save about $2K at these dealers)

I was told by my most local dealer that if I did not buy the tractor from them, then they would have to charge me for warranty service. Is this the norm? I'm not that concerned about needing service but I'm not getting a good vibe.

Thanks for all the help.

I would guess that to be a crock of BS. Charge for warranty service? What exact kind of warranty deal is that? However I do not know the tractor industry, but I find that to be a very shady practice.

Warranty Service is Warranty Service no matter where you take the tractor. But do not expect to be put at the top of the dealers priority list getting the job done. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Sounds like a bad salesman tiring to pressure you into paying his price. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There was a time, early in my Kubota ownership days, when I got a bit crossways with my dealer (actually the salesman) and I had some doubts about taking the tractor there for some warranty work. I talked to a factory service rep and he even told me where another dealer was that he thought had a good service department if I wanted to take the tractor to them. As it turned out, my dealer and I resolved our differences so I never went to another dealer.

Simple fix. Call Kubota corp office and let them know the name, number of dealer and what they told you. I suspect Kubota will call the dealer and educate them.
