Thanks for your responses. The Jd dealer in that area was very helpful but selling off an empty shelve. He of course can order me one. I started a thread on the JD side asking about a particular unit. There are only 5 NH dealers in the North west part of Florida. I really thought I had narrowed the choice to the tc. There is a dealer here in South Florida with a tc34dahst but he wants full msrp with no discount.
During my search of these threads I noticed alot of writing about two NH dealers in North Carolina. Is it worth buying there and shipping the unit to Florida. If someone has done this did you have any problems with warranty/service work at the local dealer??

If you are referring to NC dealers I got a TD33dahst and so far I've not any problem to use the warranty/service work other than a hydro hose on the cooler busting but contact the NC dealer and had one a few days later. This is a issue NH knows about and I think they now have a kit to fix it but till I need everything is fine. I go all the time to local dealers and buy things from them and they are a great bunch of guys and I believe them would treat me right but I guess will have to see. Only reason I went with NC dealer is I could not afford not to as his price on all that I got just beat the local guys way to much and they couldn't match it and I only had x amount of funds and didn't want to finance it. Like I said I believe they would work with me and would be in there advantage as I've sent a lot of business there way since I got my TC33DA HST. They might not know it but I do and I could probably open my own shop if I wanted to and then they might see what I'm talking about. I do know though the dealer I used in NC the owner himself delivered it and had another one on the truck to take to Orlando, Fl and that's was impressive to me and I'm not sure every dealer would do. He says he has delivered to that part of Florida before and they had told me that a truck would be my way in two weeks when I ordered mind and then we had the first set of storms before Katrina and trucks where sacare so that when he decide he would bring it himself and make sure I got it in two weeks. Got it in one on the following Saturday. You know in thing about this it's a no win for local guy anyway as with today's vast information highway they could lose there business if everyone started ordered all there routine supplies and other implments as this is actually where the make the money and once you start working with them as I have on other dealers they find out if they get right and try to make a little money up front I'm going to give them the service/warranty work and any other things I might need or want and they have a lifetime customer. I also believe they could sell more tractors as I know a lot of guys I talked with always want one just the dealers want get right and when they do a new one is out the door. Kind of like the Sam Walton theory buy large sell low and get more customers and make money on the back in. I've seen this work with a lot of car dealers I know and use. As long as they can back the service after the sell then they get my business and returning business for lifetime. If not I gone as fast a lighting flashes and I can so you many who still ask and call but once, twice, and you don't get another one, There are way to many others out there that want my business.
Sorry to get on the soap box a bit but with things the way they are today I would be looking for more customers and get a tractor in there hands for they need parts, service, and other things and this can save or increase the business in the long run. The dealer just might have to adjust his profit for a little while till this start returning the revenue but it will as I've seen a guy struggle till he applied this theory and know he's still making money and is cost have dropped and sales increased and been able to pass the savings to customers during the prices increasing and decreasing in the past 5 years. We all get greedy when we see the money coming in we just have to have paitence and wait for the rewards as the lord says. Even though I would think that's a long way to ship a tractor is still a option but I believe you might can work with a local/closer dealer but they can be transported whether there new or in need of service and sometimes that even can beat the local guys. Just depends on how bad or how nuch the dealer want your business and to see his profits grow in the long run intead of up front. Seen a lot of great guys lose everything becasue of they're short term gain of profits they got and didn't think or consider the long term benefits. Good luck with your search and may God guide you for he will get you setup with the right one if you seek his guidance first.
