was the shipping painless?

If you do a quick Search for MultiOne limited to the PT forum, you'll be able to get some prices. They are more expensive than the smaller PTs, but I think comparable to the units you are considering.

Of course, with a simple purchase of a MultiOne, you would have the same shipping headache and expense. I was suggesting that you consider introducing them to the left coast as a dealer yourself, or a "dealer's rep." Some companies, eager to get a product out there to be seen will make some concessions in price and or shipping. The downside is that when they have a new potential customer, you would have to act as the company rep and demo the tractor for them. A friend of mine did exactly this with a boat. Mfr was in RI, and they wanted CA presence. They gave him a very sweet deal, and he showed the boat which amounted to a couple of hrs a month. As I said, it was only an idea admittedly on the fringe.

It's interesting how some mfrs, PT included, seem to have niche geographic representation. I've never seen a Ferrari tractor since moving East. Amazing, since I imagine the port of entry for a European tracor would be East coast. Hard to figure. If you do go with Ferrari you would likely have good support where you are.
