Gee....

I got an old (40's) Kenmore (Whirlpool) wringer washer from the basement of my in-laws. Brought it home to keep in the garage for washing dirty rags.

Works just fine. Changed the gearbox oil (90 weight) and replaced the rotten drive belt.

Runs like new. Washes well.

My last washer (sears kenmore) was over 20 years old and ran great. I never did a thing to it. It was sold with the house.

My last washer was on it's third transmission (same tranny as the Dodge Caravan ) and worked fine too. We sold it with the house when we moved as well.

Now I have the Whirlpool, which stinks if you don't run a bleach rinse once a month, vibrates across the floor when it spins off, and cost almost three times what I paid for the old top-loader :mur:

Hi Guys

I live in France but have a whirlpool American washing machine and I am wanting to know what size thread the pipes are, as they are different to the French fittings and I need to sort out some kind of converter.

Jon

Hello Jonc,

You might also check to see what the www.McmasterCarr.com web site
and the Grainger Industrial Supply - MRO Supplies, MRO Equipment, Tools & Solutions web sites have to offer price wise.
