No wasted dollars yet. But I do wish I had a backhoe. Anyone like to sell their "wasted dollars" backhoe? Kubota L4310.

I regret buying a JD weight box. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I bought it before Kubota came out with one.
Since I have a Kubota now the green thing sets on a shelf collecting dust. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The only thing that I would come close to calling a waste would be my 4' lawn roller. I used it on my new lawn, but probably didn't need that compaction. I used on the drive some, but didn't seem to accomplish much. I have not used it since. It's under a tarp probably rusting. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
One other thing that I just thought of was the lower 3pt drawbar that I bought right after the tractor 4.5 yrs ago. I have yet to put it on the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
I've gotten more than my money's worth out of everything else that that I have. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
The only thing that I would like to have, but can't afford, is a tiller. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

For me it was the MMM. I got a great deal on Ebay on the mower but never used it, couldn't get the MidPTO working. Even if I could have got it working I'm changing/removing the FEL, Backhoe, rotary mower so often, the MMM would have been a pain in the butt, plus the mower is the same size 60", as the one on my Garden tractor.

This thread makes we want to start one on the best and worst tools you ever bought.

My biggest waste of money was my used 60" Woods back blade. Its really to light to be effective since I currently have no down pressure.

A middle buster. I thought I could dig a trench with it, but find that it physically will only go 9" deep, hardly enough to lay water line in. Paid $120 for it, and used it once.

I bought a gearmore disk I have used it once. I bought a brush hog and also used it once. I also bought a potato plow and tried to use it it dug into my hard pan soil with rocks and it stopped my tractor. I had planed to do some small jobs and some weed abatement. My tractor may be too small for the task. David.

Mine is probably the RMF as well.
Although it works fine, my situation just does not lend itself to that type of mowing.
I solved that with a ZTR mower that it couldn't be happier with.
Anyone want to buy a great use 5'RMF ??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I rarely regret a tool purchase of any sort. More often than not my regret has to do with the quality of the tool not the usefulness.

Having said that, I deeply regret spending money on the JD513 rotary cutter I bought with the tractor. It's a flimsy piece of junk. I'm only cutting weeds with it but it's already dinged and cracked pretty badly after only three years of use.

I'll limp along with it but next time I'll get a heavier duty model. JD dropped this line with the LX line of cutters, I sure hope they are built better /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Me too. I'm a cheapskate, but when it comes to tools and machinery I'm convinced that real economy comes from buying quality goods that last a long time.

Having said that, I broke my own rule last week and bought a cheap set of Chinese open-end wrenches to leave in the tractor tool box without care or worry. Not one of them fit anything on the 3PH or the back of the tractor - either Kubota or the cheapo wrench comrades have a skewed idea of what standard sizes are, and I can guess which one.
