Yeah. That is the last thing a FEL was designed for.

I have seen trees fall on the engine house of a large excavator. The owner was not impressed with his operator. If done at all, most good operators will have the hoe stretched out far, to avoid danger as much as possible. You don't have that reach with a FEL.

I think, if you make a habit of pushing over trees, you WILL eventually have an acident.

I’ve heard you should never push trees with an excavator with the machine turned 180 degrease on the tracks because of the trees branches fall into the cab it’ll push the drive levers backwards with will drive the machine farther into the tree.

What's really funny is when YT stops the RK commercial for another commercial. :D
I have a short attention span, so was already bored before she came out to pat the chicken.; that's as far as I watched.
I tried unsuccessfully to find out more about the Ford in the tree; maybe I'm wrong but that just doesn't look real.

Yeah... I just lost 15 minutes waiting for "Don't let this happen" and it never came. This dude used to have a Kubota and somewhat cool video's, now it's just a Rural King channel....
Still has his kubota .He is just using better tractors now .

I have taken down several acres of trees with an excavator and not once have I had one fall on me or a branch fall on the cab. There is a certain way to do it and typically a guy doesn't just push it over. You dig the roots around the tree except the ones opposite of the machine (so roots keep tree from falling on you) and then push it over. I have had trees where i couldn't push them over and had to pull them to me but away from me. As I said there is a way to do it especially if you are a seasoned excavator operator. If not then don't try it

Ok, I'll just stick to pushing over or pulling over trees, which ever the case requires, with my tractor.

But sometimes even seasoned operators of all types of equipment have accidents. Do something long enough and often enough, the unexpected can happen to anyone of us.

I think some folks are being a little hard on the YouTube presenter. Yes, it's an RK sponsored channel... But he's basically discussing a viral tractor photo and pointing out potential dangers. If just one operator thinks twice as a result of watching this video I would call it worthwhile.

It would be a lot easier if he hadn't spent 16 minutes to do a 2 minute presentation. I have to sit through that type of drawn out presentation occasionally at work; but not on my own time.
