Watching Moonshiner's show?

There is a report in one of the local TV stations about a guy arrested for selling moonshine to undercover agents. They aid $60 for two "containers" of shine. I assume that was two gallons so $30 a gallon.

Later,
Dan

I have never seen the show, but have drank Moonshine on one occasion and won't do t again, well I quit drinking years ago, but if I didn't I sure wouldn't drink it.

My grandfather and his family brewed their own, but no one ever talked about it.

If you think Moonshiners is stupid, try Weed Wars. It's all about selling pot in California under the guise of "medicine". The cast of characters is a riot. I really like the guy they call "Dress".

The confrontation with the couple on an ATV (her with shotgun) was laughable. They would have you believe that these yokels are gonna come riding up to a pickup truck with a film crew inside and outside making multiple shots at various angles. Laughable! Also, who would believe that a hunter would walk right close to the still and not smell something even without having the whole film crew there and a couple of shiners acting like idiots.

Even so, it's better than the blood and guts on regular TV shows. If you realize it's a hoax going in, you can at least be entertained a bit. I don't think M*A*S*H has anything to worry about having their record for a long-running series threatened by any of these silly shenanigans.

Exactly, the stench of fermented corn would be on that guy like a skunk? How does he buy all the propane? It shows him dumping bottles in the woods and coming back and they are full..$1000.00 worth.laughable, but Cops is boring now and Weeds, give me a break? I Still need some reason to keep cable at the house? "**** on wheels" showed a little promise?Film crews should be the first tip on any of these really shows...Back to "Candid camera"?Nope, now we have Turtleman and the swamps guys for fun?

Never seen that show. I did once see a quart jar of what a state trooper (different state from mine) said was good moonshine and he did poor a little in a lid and light it; got a pretty blue flame. But no way I'd risk drinking any of it.

My dad had one uncle who was showing his new pistol to his best friend when it went off and he accidentall killed his best friend. He did a year in the state penitientary for manslaughter and became an alcoholic when when he got out. Then he was still a young man when he got some back moonshine, was paralyzed for awhile, eventually regained use of his arms, but had to wear braces on his legs and use crutches the rest of his life. There just ain't any drink good enough to be worth taking that chance.

But then they have to introduce some kind of crisis or other drama...so fake!
I cannot see how anyone could watch this crap continuously...

EXACTLY! I used to enjoy that Gold Rush show, as even though it was hard to believe anyone would endure that much hardship, until this season they had to turn it to a big contest to see who can "get the most" out the fastest.

All this is the reason I keep my Netflix subscription and even then its usually just for background noise while I'm on TBN!

Glad to see I have not missed anything since ditching cable TV a couple years ago. TBN is my only vise... well, that and drinking a little :drink: Would love to learn how to do it...

If you do watch the show, look for the scenes with "Popcorn" who has passed away a few years ago. When you see him work you know he is doing something he has practiced.
Methanol is something serious and before anyone would try to run anything they should read up about it. It is why they throw away the head and tails.
Homedistiller.com has much more info and up to date info then most other sites out there.
What I do like about moonshiner is that they show both sides of the story. They have ride arounds with abc agents and the moonshiners.
