Does it make your cast-iron engine block rust out for sure? See where this is going. A/F has corrosion inhibitors. Keep up with it.. it should be good to go.

A small difference -- there should be no air in the engine cooling system. There is in a tire. The oxygen will bring about some amount of rusting until it's used up, regardless of the inhibitors. Ever see old coolant from a radiator? Got some in it in most cases.

On the flip side, this is a vote against having to rotate the air in your tires -- if you do that you introduce more oxygen with every air change. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

A properly filled tire has fluid over the top of the rim with just a small void of air above. You will have far less air in contact with the tire rim than you would with no fluid fill. Antifreeze and distilled water would be the best choice, but I don't think you'll see any problems whatsoever with the antifreeze and tap water.

A properly filled tire has fluid over the top of the rim with just a small void of air above. You will have far less air in contact with the tire rim than you would with no fluid fill. Antifreeze and distilled water would be the best choice, but I don't think you'll see any problems whatsoever with the antifreeze and tap water.
