Has anyone else had a problem of recurrent water in the fuel system? Let me tell you what I do know. I have had the leaky fuel tank upgraded. If I leave the BX out in the rain I will get water in the system. Easy enough to fix, I just disconnect the fuel line, drain the water (usually about 1/2 cup),blow out or replace the filters and i'm good to go. But quite a pain in the tail. I've had no problems as long as I keep her in during the rain. I am concerned about a good washing but as of yet have not had a problem with washing. I am also concerned about working in the rain. If I have to I will strip her down and analyze the entire system but I don't look forward to it. It would be my second time to do so since I jabbed a limb into the fan underneath and managed to strip all the blades off.

Welcome to my nightmare for the last few years. I have a BX2200 I bought used. Water has shut me down each time it rained and the tractor got wet. I drained the filters and part of the tank each time it rained. The stock filters can not handle water separation. I found the culprit to be the fuel tank sender unit on the left wheel well(when you are sitting on the tractor). I would not be surprised if you are leaking fuel from this location when you top off the tank. There are a lot of pieces that come off the tractor to get at the tank, but it is not really that hard. The fuel sender sits in a recess on the top of the tank. Water collects in the recess that the fuel sendor unit sits and leaks past the rubber bushing that is suppose to seal the sendor unit. Gravity holds it in place and over time, the seal fails. This is a poor mounting design! Kubota sells a replacement kit and not just the seal (rubber bushing). I also purchased a new tank because I had a main tank leak. I noticed the tank pn has changed. The parts alone cost over $220 for this repair. I don't know if the stock tank will accept the fuel sendor replacement kit. I am not going to all this work and still risking a leaking tank. For the future, I installed a DAHL 75 filter water seperator and mounted ont he bucket loader frame on the left side. This is a superior filter to what Kubota offers. I have photos/schematics that better explain this. Good Luck Scott

If I remember correctly, there was a service bulletin recall from Kubota to fix this. I had the same problems.... dealer put in the updated sender kit. It was covered by Kubota.

I did not have any problems after that.
