The only other things you need is a garden hose and a small pump (if you decide to use antifreeze/window washer fluid).

In an ideal world the tires would be run dry with bolted on cast iron wheel weights.
Flats and leaks would be cheaper and quicker to repair.
No calcium chloride to corrode and deteriorate everything it touches.
Better traction,reduced rolling friction and better fuel efficiency with a dry tire and 500lbs of CSS weight. Vs. the same setup with 500lbs of internal liquid ballast.
Where is the Center of gravity of the unballasted tractor chassis? If it's at or above the axle centreline . then yes then liquid ballast will lower the Center of gravity .
stability ? Was the tractor now sliding or skidding ? That is different than Center of gravity problem.

Will the supposedly fuel savings be enough to offset the 100's of extra dollars to purchase cast weights? If liquid ballast is so bad according to YOU why do manufacturers have adding liquid ballast listed in their operators manuals??

Better traction. Why? The tractor still weighs 500 lbs more than it used to. The contact patch is the same size and shape with the same weight on it. Where does the improvement come from?
Reduced rolling friction. From what? The fluid continuously self levels. Once you start to dump out a bucket of water, how much effort does it take for you to push the water out of the bucket? Nada.
Better fuel efficiency. If I buy the first 2, then this one makes perfect sense.

My :2cents: : Though theoretically there is some, the rolling friction for liquid at slow tractor speeds is insignificant. At higher road speeds when centrifugal force "spins" the liquid around with the tire, it would be the same as wheel weights.

Ask the lab staff at Michelin, Good Year/Titan and Firestone. That is what they found using calibrated instruments instead if the seat of their pants.

Rimguard is about double. And harder to get if you plan on doing it yourself. I believe rimguard is somewhere between 3 and $4 a gallon.
WW fluid can be had on sale around $1.50 and sometimes you can catch it for $0.99/gallon. But not likely to get the -20 stuff for 0.99 this time of year. spring time is when I usually see those deals. This time of year, the +32F stuff is 0.99

How many years will the average hobby(week end) farmer have to drive this cast iron weighted tractor to experience a fuel saving cost over the initial cost of the cast iron weights VS the cost of liquid weight???????????? Was that info listed in Michelin,Titan & Firestone's test information you're referring to?? I'll bet not because their test was aimed at BTO FARMER's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
