He needs to install natural spillways pronto...much more critical than getting the beavers. Emergency spillways are mandatory, pipe systems are optional in most pond situations. Never be without spillways, IMO.

Jeff is a young guy that used to be a pitcher for a major league team so he's not hurting for bucks but he seems to be satisfied with his pond just the way it is. I've tried talking sense to him but he lets it go in one ear and out the other. Guess he would rather replace the dam than add the emergency spillway. Even a trash guard on the overflow pipe would be better than nothing at all. The guard would prevent the beavers from putting the trash inside the overflow pipe.

I thank my lucky stars that our property isn't below his waterline.
