water pump problems

ok so im new here and to tractors ...but i have a tractor that says NALAHAY 254 on the side and the parts book that came with it says TAISHAN series tractor and after a little research i found that it is basically a KAMA ts-254..........well when going to crank it after sitting a while i noticed a tire was getting all wet and after further observation ...i seen that the water pump is leaking from the front of it most likely from around the shaft .....as i have not taken the fan off yet to inspect.....not really worried where its leaking ..just know that i need a new one ......well called all kinds of tractor stores in my area ..of seneca ..south carolina.....and cant seem to find any parts for this thing....my question is ...does anyone know of a site online or a place that i can call to get parts for this thing .....thanks in advance ......

There will be plenty of dealers on here that will have a pump for your. Since you are on the East Coast I would start by calling Ranch Hand Supply. He is mainly a Jinma dealer but many of these tractors use common Chinese parts. He has a web site. Another good place to check is Affordable Tractors out of Texas. They have a web site also.

Best thing to do is get the info off the engine data plate and take a pic of the pump if you can.

The pre-EPA TS254 (round nose through 2006) used the YangDong Y385 engine. Earlier models (square nose) may have a 2 cylinder. You'll need to write down the info contained on the engine data plate, then Chip Uren at ARTRAC is the one to see about KAMA/TaiShan repair parts.

You can get parts for this tractor from Bob Kimmel located in Hillsboro, N.J.. It was manufactured by the Shandong Tractor Co. in China.. Also sold as Halahay ts254, Taishan ts254 and Kama ts254 (maybe other names too) Bob inventories most parts and can ship them overnight.. I had a friend that only needed the fingers for his pressure plate and Bob had them in stock... You can reach him at 1-908-230-0003 or 1-908-450-5050

Buy way, I have a Taishan ts254 for sale that has never been used reasonable . I'm just down the road from you in Seneca. I'm in Spartanburg... howard169@chesnet.net
