I posted a thread the other day on the coolant leak on my 2200.
I got the new water pump yesterday and am planning on replacing it tomorrow.
Any advice , tricks, etc.from anyone out there on getting the radiator and shroud out.
Dealer says it can be done, but kind of tricky as they don't come out as a unit, but kinda have to come out at the same time.
I assume once I get those out, I can then unbolt the fan, then the pulley then the pump.
Also, I assume I should use some high heat silicone on the gasket.
any and all advice appreciated.

I've not had to R&R a BX waterpump yet so I don't know any tips or tricks on the proceedure but I've got the engine cowling off doing my 200 hr on my BX23 and after seeing your post I decided to give it a look-see.
In looking at it, I'd say you'll have to separate the fan shroud from the radiator inorder to pull them both.
Theres not much room in there!
It almost looks like you'll have to unbolt the shroud from the radiator and move it to towards the engine abit inorder to slide the radiator up and out. That is after you disconnect the upeer & lower hoses and a few radiator to frame bolts.
Probably have to remove the dynamo just to make some room to work with also.

The WSM doesn't seem to have a section on pulling the radiator but interestingly in the engine section, it shows pulling the entire radiator and shroud assembly along with the engine when pulling the engine to do an overhaul.

Good luck

Pulled the water pump on Saturday. It is not the simplest of jobs.
The radiator and shroud bolts must be removed, the overflow bottle, and the alternator has to be removed. at that point you can move the radiator and shroud out of the way enough to get your hand in between the fan and radiator , you can get a sockeet on the rececessed fan bolts, remove them, pull the fan, and then the shroud and radiator come out.
Water pump is 6 bolts and easy to remove.
Ran into another snag at that point, the replacement water pump the dealer sent me looked the right one, but after trying to install it a few times , and matching the new pump with the old gasket, I could see it was not the right one. One hole was off.
Suprise , Suprise, Kubota made two different water pumps for the BX 2200.
I'm in a pickle now as neither the dealer, nor Kubota have the correct pump in stock. I'm waiting to hear from the dealer this morning.
In the mean time, I have no tractor and who knows how long it's going to take to get this pump from Kubota's supplier.
