Missed that -
I'd be more concerned about cooling than heating at that latitude. But then in the winter I've been known to keep the house at 58 degrees F.

Close. I keep the heat pump thermostat set at 60. If you're cold, build a fire. I have more wood falling off of trees than I can burn.

Please don't think I'm directing this just to you. Things like heating systems as well as many tractor activities are related to location. Please give us some idea where you live like a state or even a small country. As you can see at the left I don't list my county either.

If you are looking at a sorta fail safe operation you could run your heating systems through a battery bank with the Generac as the backup to keep batteries charged. This would not include electric heat.
